Repairing or replacing a damaged bin
If you want to repair or replace your damaged bin, you can lodge a request using our online self-service portal:

After you have lodged the request:
- place the bin upside down on public land
- ensure the bin does not block the footpath or road
- write the reference number onto the bin or onto a piece of paper attached to the bin
Bins can only be replaced with the same size bin as you currently have. If you would like to replace your damaged bin with a larger or smaller sized bin, please see our page on changing the size of your bin.
Bin replacements for damaged bins are free of charge (up to three per property), as listed in our fees and charges.
Replacing a lost or stolen bin
If you want to replace your lost or stolen bin, you can lodge a request using our online self-service portal:

We recommend checking the street and with your neighbours before lodging the request as the bin may have accidentally been returned to the wrong property.
