Five Dock: Josie

Hi, I’m Josie Rubbo.

I’m a Qualified Cert III Family Day Care educator, a proud grandmother, and a long-time member of the Five Dock community. Caring for children has been part of my life for many years, both in centre-based settings and now in my own family day care home.

I provide a small, nurturing service with a 1:4 educator-to-child ratio, three days a week. This allows me to really get to know each child and support them as individuals. I believe childJen learn best when they feel safe, loved and listened to.

My program follows the Early Years Learning Framework and offers children lots of choice throughout the day. I create inviting indoor and outdoor environments where children can explore, play, and learn in ways that interest them. I value child-led play and support children to build confidence, independence, and a strong sense of belonging.

As a grandmother, I understand how important it is for families to feel confident and supported when choosing care.
