Access and inclusion

The Library strives to provide access and inclusion services and collections for people with disabilities.

Please email Library@innerwest.nsw.gov.au, complete a recommendations for purchase form or speak to staff if you have any suggestions how the Library can be more inclusive.

The library catalogue can be adapted on iPhone and Android devices using their accessibility module i.e. Talkback, text to speech, tactile adjustments and language support available.

Services

Home Library Service

For those unable to visit the library, the Home Library Service maintains a vital connection with all that the library service offers. Home Library Service can help you select items for reading, listening or watching. Find out more about the Home Library Service here.

Library Programming

  • Marrickville Library: junior area. Available during Babies & Toddler programs delivered in this area.
  • Marrickville Library: learning rooms. Available during programs delivered in Learning Rooms 1.1 & 1.2.
  • Marrickville Library: pavilion. Available during programs delivered in pavilion.
  • Hearing loop and other accessible services may be available at other locations and will be clearly communicated when booking via Eventbrite

Public Computers

Public computers at each library host Microsoft suite and a limited number have Adobe access. The ability to zoom or change text size is available.
