The Centre was named in honour of Robyn Webster, a local resident who died in the Bali bombings in 2002.
The venue underwent a major upgrade in 2023 including new indoor sports floor and upgraded insulation. In August 2026, three of the outdoor courts were upgraded to become multi-sport.

How to get here
Robyn Webster Sports Centre is located at Tempe Recreation Reserve, which is easily accessible by car, bus or train. Parking is available on-site, via Holbeach Avenue.
Car - Turn off the Princes Highway at the traffic lights onto Holbeach Ave. Drive straight through the roundabout and follow along the road with the playing fields including the all-weather field to your left. You will come to a large 300 spot carpark. Park there and head to the Centre.
Train - Wolli Creek and Tempe are the nearest railway stations and are served by trains on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line and the T8 Airport and East Hills Line.
Bus - The nearest bus route stops are Kendrick Park, Princes Highway and Princes Highway after Station Street. Use routes 422 and 348.

Inner West Aquatics and Recreation is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all users. To ensure this, all patrons must comply with the following Conditions of Entry.
All centre signage forms part of these conditions. Failure to comply may result in removal from the premises and/or further action, including suspension or cancellation of membership.
The Robyn Webster Sports Centre, Tempe (the Centre) includes the indoor and outdoor sports courts and associated amenities.
- Entry and Compliance
- All patrons enter and use the Centre at their own risk. Council accepts no responsibility for injury, loss or damage sustained while at the Centre, except to the extent caused or contributed to by the negligence of Council.
- Patrons must comply with all Centre rules, signage, and reasonable directions given by Council staff.
- Council reserves the right to refuse entry to, or direct the removal of, any person from the Centre.
- Unauthorised entry, or entry by a person who has been banned from the Centre, may result in prosecution for trespass.
- Bookings are required for guaranteed access to the Centre.
- RISK WARNING: recreational activities at the Centre carry inherent risks, including the risk of injury. This is a risk warning for the purposes of the Civil Liability Act 2002 (NSW).
- Behaviour and Safety
- Patrons must behave respectfully and appropriately at all times.
- Aggressive, unsafe, abusive, threatening, intimidating or disruptive behaviour towards other patrons or Council staff will not be tolerated.
- Activities must only be undertaken in designated areas.
- Appropriate sporting attire and non-marking footwear must be worn where required.
- Prohibited Items and Activities
- The following are prohibited within the Centre:
- Glass containers.
- Alcohol and illegal drugs.
- Smoking and vaping (including e-cigarettes).
- Dangerous items, weapons, or any object that may pose a risk to others.
- Chewing gum.
- Riding bicycles, skateboards, scooters, or similar vehicles on the indoor courts. Non-motorised vehicles are permitted on the outdoor courts when no court bookings are in place.
- Animals, except for assistance animals as defined under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth).
- Photography and Recording
- Photography, video recording, and audio recording are not permitted without prior Council approval.
- The use of cameras, mobile phones, or any recording device is strictly prohibited in change rooms and toilets.
- Council reserves the right to require the cessation of recording activities and may request the removal of recorded material where these conditions have been breached.
- Personal Property and Security
- Council accepts no responsibility for the loss, theft, or damage of personal property.
- For safety and security purposes, patrons may be asked to present bags or belongings for a visual check. Entry may be refused if a request is declined.
- Lost property may be handed in at Reception. Unclaimed items will be retained for one week.
- Children and Young People
- Children under 10 must be supervised by a person aged 16 or over. Children aged 10 and over without a supervising adult must be enrolled in a supervised Centre program or booking.
