GreenWay construction process

The GreenWay Masterplan includes proposals for more than $57 million of works to be implemented over the long term. All high priority works ($41 million from the NSW Government and $11 million from Inner West Council) are now complete.

After extensive community consultation on the Masterplan in 2018, the Concept Design in 2020 and the Draft Design Plan in 2023, the remaining missing links in-corridor construction works of the GreenWay are completed and the GreenWay is open.

High priority construction works along the GreenWay have been divided into six main works packages and have all been completed:

• Richard Murden Reserve path and lighting upgrade
• Dobroyd Point Seawall upgrade 
• GreenWay local slow streets
• Bay Run path and lighting upgrade 
• High voltage feeder relocation 
• Missing links in-corridor works
