Steel Park Waterplay Park is a fun, family-friendly spot in Marrickville. Kids can splash and play in fountains and sprinklers while you relax nearby. The park is open every year from September to April and is close to picnic areas, play equipment and the Cooks River.

The Waterplay Park is inside Steel Park, next to the car park off Illawarra Road. It’s close to the playground and picnic facilities.

The park shows the full water cycle.
Runoff from the park and nearby streets is cleaned through grassed swales and rain gardens before reaching the Cooks River.
A man-made saltmarsh on the riverbank helps filter nutrients and improve water quality.
