Successful community wellbeing (2-year) grants

Our multi-year Community Wellbeing Grants fund projects that address local issues, promote social justice, and build stronger, more connected communities.

The Community Wellbeing (2-year) grants stream supports projects which address local issues, promote social justice, enhance wellbeing, strengthen the sustainability and capacity of the Inner West community and foster inclusion, equity and social connection.

2025 Community Wellbeing (2 year) Grants

Projects being delivered over 2025 and 2027:

Project: Wednesday Night Lights
Funding: $20,000
Impact: Weekly outreach program offering free meals, medical and legal support, and social services, plus a kids program to help families access essential services.

Project: HOPE – Holistic Ongoing Participation Project
Funding: $20,000
Impact: Wellbeing program for people living with HIV to reduce isolation and improve mental health through social inclusion, exercise, and creative activities.

Project: Connection Through Creativity – Intergenerational Art Project
Funding: $20,000
Impact: Art workshops bringing seniors and young adults together to foster social inclusion, cultural exchange, and meaningful connections.

Project: Safe Ground – Strength through Culture and Connection
Funding: $20,000
Impact: Program for Aboriginal youth offering yarning circles, arts workshops, and mentoring to build resilience, cultural identity, and supportive relationships.

Project: Worship Connect
Funding: $20,000
Impact: Quarterly events celebrating LGBTQI+/Asian and multicultural communities through potlucks, storytelling, and cultural performances in safe, inclusive spaces.

Project: Stronger Together – New Moves for Older Women
Funding: $12,000
Impact: 80 free movement workshops over two years to improve physical and mental wellbeing, reduce isolation, and build confidence among older women.
