Bronwyn Gallery

The IWC Public Art Map features six outdoor art trails with a range of public artworks for your enjoyment.

Public art makes a valuable contribution to an enlivened and vibrant locality, by complementing and building on the unique qualities of our streetscapes and town centres.

Bronwyn Gallery
Bronwyn Bancroft is a founding member of the Boomalli Aboriginal Artists Co-operative, which is one of Australia’s
oldest Indigenous-run artists’ organisations, established in 1987. Boomalli is now located in Flood Street, Leichhardt.
Bronwyn served in the roles of chairperson, director, and treasurer during its first two decades, and is still actively
involved in the organisation to this day. In 1985, Bronwyn opened a shop in Sydney called Designer Aboriginals, and in 1987 was one of the first Australian fashion designers invited to show work in Paris.
