Artist statement

Queer and color-blind photographer Lexy Potts is a crucial facet to Sydney's Queer community. Documenting everything 'Arts and Culture', the importance of community made archives is not lost with her sense of duty and purpose. This image showcases local drag king 'Malcom XY' at the Pride Square opening for WorldPride 2023. The background consists of a community-made 'yarn bomb' which Lexy also documented.
