LOTE Online for Kids allows children to enjoy the magic of books in 45 languages. Each book has an English translation to help develop multilingual reading and listening skills.
Gale OneFile News - access to more than 2300 major world newspapers.

We provide a vast collection of items to assist with English Learning, including:

AMES - Learn to use English in real life contexts.
Clear Pronunciation 1 - Recognize and pronounce the 43 sounds of English through audio, video and interactive activities.
Clear Pronunciation 2 - Learn consonant clusters, word stress, sentence stress, connected speech and intonation.
Road to IELTS - A comprehensive online preparation course, with over 120 hours of intensive work on vocabulary, reading, writing, listening and speaking included.
Transparent Language Online - Teaches listening, reading, speaking and writing skills for non-English speakers in beginner, intermediate and advance levels.

Can’t find the language you are looking for?
The library can arrange loans of books in other languages from the State Library of NSW free of charge for members. Submit the form below to make your request.
You can also search the Community Languages Directory from the State Library, which lists all the community language materials held in NSW public libraries.
