Children’s Book Week:
Saturday 19 - Friday 25 August 2017

Each year, The Children's Book Council of Australia brings children and books together celebrating Children’s Book Week. During this time schools, libraries, booksellers, authors, illustrators and children celebrate Australian children's literature.

It's competition time!

The theme for Book Week 2017 is Escape to Everywhere. Kids from years K-6 are invited to explore this theme, and enter our fun competitions (below).

Drawing Competition (Years K-2)

Children are asked to draw a picture of a place they would go if they could escape to anywhere in the world.

Writing Competition (Years 3-6)

Children are asked to write a short story on a place they would go if they could escape to anywhere in the world.

How to Enter

The competitions are open to all children from ages K-6. Entry forms can be picked up at any Inner West Council Library or you can download an entry form here.
