Apply for Perfect Match 2021

Monday 8 February 2021

Council’s Perfect Match is back in 2021 and applications are now open.

From small beginnings, Perfect Match has grown to become Australia’s best-known and most-loved public art and graffiti prevention program.

Perfect Match brings artists, residents, businesses, property owners and community together to collaboratively create fantastic new street artworks in public places.

Property owners are invited to find their Perfect Match by nominating their wall to be transformed by an artist. Artists submit their designs and ideas.

Last year, 55 Inner West property owners and 60 artists applied.

In August 2020, the 100th Perfect Match artwork Women's Empowerment by one of Australia's most celebrated artists Wendy Sharpe was completed in Camperdown.

Perfect Match has contributed to the Inner West being identified as Sydney’s street art capital, and last year was the subject of a new book, Perfect Match – Street Art of the Inner West by Melinda Vassallo, which charts “Council’s landmark Perfect Match street art program since its beginning in 2014.”

Applications close midnight Thursday, 22 April 2021. For more information, guidelines and to apply, go to www.innerwest.nsw.gov.au/PerfectMatch
