Bairro Português: Food and Wine Fair

Celebrate the very best of Portuguese culture with entertainment, music, dance, cultural activities and traditional and contemporary foods for all the family.

Bairro Português is on Audley and Fisher streets Petersham, Sunday 15 March, 11am to 5pm.

This year, music is curated by Sydney Portugal Community Club and includes Portuguese and Madeiran concert bands, folk dancing groups, Fado ensembles.

Headliner is (direct from Portugal) Sérgio Rossi who has been performing since he was 13 and is a well-known musician, author, composer, singer and producer.

Activities include art, cooking and soccer workshops.

Food stalls will feature Brazilian finger food, gelato, churros, Portuguese barbecue, paella, garlic prawns, chorizo, crepes, Portuguese chicken and Portuguese tarts.

Local cafes and restaurants such as Gloria’s, Med Bar and Noi Petersham will also have stalls.

Also available on the day are Portuguese homewares and leather goods.

Since its inception in 2003, every year thousands of people attend Australia’s largest Portuguese cultural fair.
