Stonevilla Studios annual fundraiser at Chrissie Cotter Gallery

Wednesday, 20 November 2019

Purchase a unique Christmas present at Stonevilla Studios annual fundraising art sale, to be held at Council's Chrissie Cotter Gallery, Friday, 22nd November.

All funds go towards to the annual Stonevilla Wearable Art Prize SWAP, held each year at the Stonevilla Studios.

“We’ve been holding an annual fundraising exhibition at Chrissie Cotter Gallery for well over ten years,” said one of Stonevilla’s artists-in-residence, Nick Strike.

“This year, the funds will go to our next Stonevilla Wearable Art Prize SWAP, for which we commission 10 artists to create a wearable artwork that is then paraded in our studios.

“The fundraiser and SWAP are two of our most cherished public engagement events.

“The Chrissie Cotter gallery exhibition attracts lots of artists - and audiences who are keen to secure artworks at a very reasonable price,” Nick said.

"All the works are on A5 boards and sell for $100 each."

Artists include Stonevilla residents Nick Strike, Stephen Ralph, Michelle Hanlin, Robert Pulie, Jelena Telecki, Luke Parker, plus about 30 more artists who contribute works.
