Cr Vittoria Raciti new Deputy Mayor of Inner West

Cr Vittoria Raciti of the Leichhardt Gulgadya Ward has been elected as Deputy Mayor of the Inner West Council for the 2019-20 term.

She is committed to ensuring equal respect for all people and delivering services to the high expectations of ratepayers and residents equally and fairly.

Cr Raciti said that she was gratified to be elected to the position and pledged to serve all residents equally during her term.

“I’m strongly committed to democracy and believe that Local Government is the first and closest line of democratic representation for everyone in Australia,” she said.

“I want to continue supporting, helping and fighting for all our residents to make sure that they get a fair hearing on all of their issues.

“I’m so pleased to be the Deputy Leader of the new dynamic Inner West Council.”

Vittoria was previously an Ashfield council and as such was a member of the Planning and Environment Committee, works and services committee, community activity committee, aboriginal consultative committee, Ashfield access committee and Ashfield Youth Committee.
