A Handmade Life: upcoming exhibition at Chrissie Cotter Gallery

Thursday, 17 October 2019

Six Inner West artisans will exhibit their sculpture, craft and textiles soon at Council’s Chrissie Cotter Gallery.

Gillian Brooks, Meryl Blundell, Ro Cook, Kim Davies, Lorraine Evans and Romana Toson previously exhibited successfully at the gallery in 2017.

Romana said it was “a very positive experience that added confidence and a more developed sense of professionalism to our various studio practices.

“Our exhibition in 2017 was very well attended, with strong sales and wonderful feedback from the people who attended,” she said.

“A Handmade Life 2019 is an opportunity to share work that has been developed since our last show.

"The inner west of Sydney has a very vibrant art and craft community. It is exciting to have the opportunity to be part of that,” Romana said.

Works in paper, textiles, leather and metal will all feature.

A Handmade Life is at Chrissie Cotter Gallery Thursday, 24 October-Sunday, 3 November. Mon-Sat 10am-6pm, Sun 10-5pm

Opening Thursday, 24 October, 6-9pm
