Join the library
Joining the library is free and easy to do. Everyone is welcome and you don't need to live in the Inner West Council area to join.
While library systems are being harmonised, separate membership cards are currently needed for borrowing at former Ashfield, Leichhardt and Marrickville libraries. However, your items can now be returned at any Customer Service Centre or library across the entire Inner West Council area, no matter which branch they were borrowed from.
How do I join the library?
Membership is free and is open to everyone. Proof of current home address is required e.g. drivers licence, rent receipt
Join online via the library website and finalise your membership at Inner West Library when you visit.
