Roomies Arts provides a range of opportunities and pathways for artists with a disability to engage in creative practice, and is one of the creative groups based at Council's Art Camp Residency.

Expressions of Interest to be part of the annual Blooming Arts exhibition, 26 November at Chrissie Cotter Gallery are now open, and close 19 November. Register here

Roomies Arts runs an open studio once a month and is developing a website where they will host a series of creative workshops focusing on art and mindfulness -hear more

Blooming Arts winner, John Goldsmith, who has dedicated his life to the production of art, has a style described as vibrant and intuitive. John is an interdisciplinary artist whose unconventional artworks and inventive models reflect and reference the unique world he lives in: giant animals and dinosaurs, space travel with the Star Wars crew and his passion for cars and planes. Read an interview with John

Alchemy

Fibre art, a red half moon shape with frayed edges sits on a white piece of material, black thread outlines the shape and there are also black threaded dots on top of the red shape. The black threaded lines also appear on the background of the white material. some red dots and alot of grey thatching also on the white background. The shapes they make are fluid lines.
