Inner West Council is proud to present EDGE Inner West x Biennale of Sydney 2024 at the beautiful repurposed White Bay Power Station. Oliver John Cameron and Elizabeth Jigalin (featured above) will be presenting their work Sonant Traces on 6 April, an immersive, participatory and site responsive work. Learn more about the talented composer and performer, Oliver.
Across three big weekends, EDGE Inner West will showcase an electrifying series of performance commissions at White Bay Power Station (6-7 April) and Petersham Town Hall (13-14 April); followed by a weekend of talks at White Bay (27-28 April).
On the first weekend, witness Legs On The Wall hanging from the internal structure of White Bay Power Station, responding to the site in the Boiler House with their work Hive of Industry. Catch Force Majeure in the Pump Room blending storytelling, movement and sound in their work POWER. More events on the first weekend are listed below. View the full program on Council's website.
Petersham Town Hall transforms into a heaving cultural hub for weekend two. Air your petty grievances at the Shamgods Service Centre Petty Gripes Listening Service, or catch a choreographed fleet of robotic vacuum cleaners in Without a Trace. This is just a taste of what's in store. View the full EDGE Inner West program on Council's website.
On the last weekend head back to White Bay Power Station for a jam-packed EDGE Talks session, guest curated by Benjamin Law and Yumi Stynes. On Saturday, say farewell to beloved food icons Cornersmith, take part in a giant clothes swap and discover the hidden histories of the Inner West. On Sunday, join a Q&A with the legendary Dolly Doctor, ask a panel of All Asian Agony Aunts your questions and celebrate the best of the magical and mystical Inner West.
