The Mindfulness Art Project

Local artist Martha Jabour received a Council Art Grant to deliver The Mindfulness Art Project at Marrickville West Primary School (MWPS). Martha (Project Manager and facilitator) worked with students and Aunty Kerry Kelly MWPS Education Support Officer and proud Gumbaynggirr, Bundjalung and Yuin woman on the Aboriginal led painting. Aboriginal mindfulness and cultural imagery was facilitated by Aunty Cleonie Quayle, proud Maljangapa woman of the 'Pooncarie' Paakantji nation. The project was also supported by Aunty Linda Coe, proud Wiradjuri woman and Lindy Alwis, Wellbeing Facilitator, Connect Marrickville. More about the project and images they created here

You’re invited to the Fox's Lane activation for Inner West Fest on 26 March – a beautiful new public artwork There Will Always Be Light On For You. The My Plate Your Plate storytelling and food cart will be there plus there’s a free "fairy hands" workshop with artist Jayanto Tan, where you can create your own clay fortune cookie.
