Dragon boating consists of twenty paddlers sat in pairs in a 12m long boat and using a single-blade paddle with a T-shaped handle to propel the boat forward.
FFB Dragon Boat Club trains every week and competes in regattas in the senior divisions for paddlers aged over 40. We welcome new members from all backgrounds and are particularly looking for new talent for our mens team to complement our strong women's and mixed teams.
This session will focus on technique, rhythm, and having fun. It’s a low-impact way to build core strength and cardiovascular health. If you're wondering whether you're fit enough, many of our members started with the same thought. Our expert coaches will help you develop the skills you need in a safe and supportive environment. This session could be the start of something amazing.
We have paddlers in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond who enjoy the fitness, the post paddle breakfast and racing for medals. This "Come-and-Try" session is designed specifically for people who have never picked up a paddle before. If you do have experience this is a great way to come and find out about our club.
