Companion animal services

Inner West Council's Companion animal services is responsible for the management of dogs and cats in the LGA.

Responsibilities include reuniting found pets with their owners, investigating dog attacks, proactive and reactive patrols of public areas and implementing relevant actions associated with Council’s Companion Animal Action Plan.

Each month Companion Animal Officers set up their mobile Info Stand in parks across the Inner West - providing free microchip scans, free responsible pet ownership goodies, and information.
