Inner West Mayor Darcy Byrne has slammed the Transport Minister Andrew Constance for his compulsory acquisition of the former Balmain Leagues Club site in Rozelle, saying the move will be the “final nail in the coffin for Balmain Tigers”.

The NSW Government’s decision to proceed with the compulsory acquisition of the former Balmain leagues Club site will endanger Rozelle Public School, smash the local shopping centre and put the final nail in the coffin of Balmain Tigers plans to return to Rozelle.
