Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre update

Thank you for taking the time to complete our members survey that was sent out in March this year. Your feedback is valued and will help Inner West Council provide the best possible experience when we resume the day to day running of Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre on 1 July.

Overwhelmingly the responses indicated a desire to increase the number and variety of group fitness classes available at the centre.

We are very pleased to announce that five new classes will be added to the timetable commencing 1 July, including additional aqua and wellness classes. All existing classes will remain on the timetable, and we will continue to add new classes in the future.

What changes will occur from 1 July for our current members at Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre?

• All current AKAC members with full access centre memberships from 1 July will receive our Inner West Fitness Pass that gives you access to all 5 Aquatic Centres run by Inner West Council including Ashfield Aquatic Centre, Leichhardt Park Aquatic Centre, Fanny Durack Aquatic Centre, and Dawn Fraser Baths.
• New group fitness classes, online booking system, and equipment
• New website and new customer portal going live from 1 July

What will change for upfront paying members?

• All current upfront memberships will remain valid
• Renewal options will be available online or at reception

What will change for direct debit members?

• We are pleased to announce that the cost for a full centre membership will be reduced!
• All direct debit memberships are moving to a fortnightly direct debit run on set days. More information will be provided in the upcoming weeks.
• Your current direct debit details will be moved securely over to the new IWA direct debit system – no need to sign new forms!

What will change for our visit pass holders?

• No changes. All current visit passes will be honoured

What you need to do

• Be on the lookout for incoming emails from akac.enquiries@innerwest.nsw.gov.au – please check your junk mail!
• Direct Debit members - Emails will be sent out before 1 July concerning your membership’s direct debits.
• Your current membership card will be replaced with a new one on your first visit from 1 July

• Be photo ready as you will have your photo taken and attached to your membership profile
