Electrifying the Inner West

cartoon of a house, car and sun

This edition we’re shining a light on all-electric homes. As more and more renewable electricity reaches Inner West homes, the choices we make about cooking, heating and hot water at home matter.

Local doctor Lai Heng, home designer Tracy, and renovators Hema and Josh describe how they are electrifying their homes, and the benefits they enjoy.

If your energy bills are big, or you are looking for ways to make your home healthier and more comfortable, find out more on Council's electrify webpage.

Resources to help you switch:

 - Get started with a Go Electric action plan in your language

 - Take advantage of one-on-one energy bill consultations at the Green Living Centre. Spaces are being snapped up for July and August sessions

 - Head along to Renew’s energy efficient retrofits workshop

 - Borrow a thermal imaging camera to detect heat loss, draughts and poor insulation
