View the guidelines and submit an application on Council's website Congratulations to all our EDGE Sydenham artists, studios and partners for pulling off an amazing two weekends of art, fun, creativity and passion. Marrickville Mermaid was a sold-out event celebrating the extraordinary life of champion swimmer, film star and performer Annette Kellerman. Creative Trails showcased art studios buzzing with crowds who were delighted by engaging talks, workshops and newly purchased handcrafted pieces. EDGE Celebrate 2044 at Sydenham Green was attended by 10,000 people, starting with a special appearance by Dorothy the Dinosaur and The Wiggles. Community art workshops were full, and Tortuga Studios presented an unforgettable evening experience of art, performance, and music in their immersive Playground of the Apocalypse. St Peters Town Hall transformed into a hive of activity, with EDGE Spaces artists discussing the importance of Council’s support in providing creatives with a residency and space to explore, play and develop new work. Superorganism presented a sensory experience and the event closed with Music to the Setting Sun, an improvisation piece by Trevor Brown and Inner West musicians.
