Welcome back! This is our first newsletter for the year, featuring a range of experiences and a celebration of artists and art forms from the Inner West.
Suara Indonesia Dance presents Cicem for Inner West Fest, exploring the rich cultural contribution that Indonesian families have made to the Inner West over many decades through the metaphor of migratory birds. Combining live dance and music, shadow puppetry, craft and costume design, this multicultural project is a celebration of the impacts of migration and the meaning of home.
Cicem takes place at Marrickville Library and Pavilion, Saturday 26 February, 6pm with shadow puppet crafts for kids and food available, followed by a live performance at 7.30pm. COVID safe requirements for seating. Cicem was developed by Suara Indonesia Dance and the BowerBird Collective at the EDGE GreenWay residency in 2021. Check out the full Inner West Fest program here
EDGE Art Camp on the GreenWay returns in 2022 from 6 - 22 May.
