Celebrate the home of live music in the Inner West!

2026 applications open Friday 26 June - Friday 17 July.

We are seeking performers, food stalls, creative stalls, and community stalls.

About 

Celebrate live music in the Inner West with an action-packed day of free live music on the main street of Marrickville.

Marrickville boasts a mighty reputation for creativity and diverse cultural experiences. The festival brings together a program that champions artists, across multiple stages of unique programming and a variety of musical genres.  

Marrickville Music Festival is an opportunity for creative participation by all members of the community, supporting and witnessing the creative work showcased on local streets. 

Performer Applications 

Performer Selection Criteria

  1. Preference will be given to local groups and musicians who live, work, or play in the Inner West
  2. Suitability according to the event aims and objectives
  3. Alignment with the Council's goals and values as outlined in the Community Strategic Plan 
  4. Performances that feature majority original music (please note, community and school groups are exempt from this requirement)

Stall Applications 

Stall Selection Criteria

  1. High-quality, diverse offerings that complement existing businesses within the event footprint 
  2. Efficient service with capacity to handle peak crowds, and strong value for money
  3. Strong presentation and stall design
  4. Environmentally responsible practices, and (if applicable) fresh and healthy menu offerings 
  5. Inner West businesses and organisations are prioritised, with strong EOIs from outside the area also considered
