Join a creative writing workshop that uses the fictional world of Dungeons & Dragons to build real storytelling skills.
Through guided exercises, participants will create a unique hero using elements from the world-famous game: character classes, ability scores and dice. Participants will leave with a short story starring that character and the skills to write more.
No D&D experience is needed and there won't be any rules to remember. This workshop will be focused on practising vivid sensory description, staking out a clear character voice and working within narrative constraints. Helpful prompts and bonus exercises are built in to ensure that everyone is supported and challenged.
Suitable for ages 13-18.
