Refusal of Entry 

Leichhardt Oval management reserves the right to: 

-             Refuse entry to any persons deemed to be intoxicated and/or disorderly; 

-             Refuse entry to any unauthorised persons including anyone who has been issued with a current banning notice; 

-             Refuse entry of items which are prohibited items or have the potential to cause injury or public nuisance  

-             Refuse entry to a person who purchases an event ticket from an unauthorised source or from a ticket scalper 

General Conditions  

-             Leichhardt Oval reserves the right to inspect/search bags of all persons who enter or exit the stadium including inspection of bags and packages and wanding and pat down searches. 

-             Persons gaining unauthorised access to Leichhardt Oval may be liable for prosecution. 

-             Patrons who cause a disturbance, or refuse to comply with requests made by Leichhardt Oval staff will be evicted by Leichhardt Oval. 

-             A patron must not attempt to conceal their identity at the point of entry or while inside the oval. Leichhardt Oval respects cultural differences and medical conditions, but reserves the right to either refuse entry, or remove anyone who covers their face. 

-             Any person who attempts entry or is found to have entered the oval after being issued with a current banning notice will be subject to prosecution and possible further penalties. 

-             Alcoholic beverages cannot be taken into or from Leichhardt Oval by patrons. 

-             Smoking, including E-cigarettes, is not permitted at Leichhardt Oval in spectator areas or within 10 metres of any entry point. Pass Outs are available. 

-             Customers wishing to bring personal items into Leichhardt Oval do so at their own risk. Leichhardt Oval will not be held responsible for any damages to, loss or theft of a patrons personal property. 

-             For safety reasons, strollers and prams are not permitted into the Leichhardt Oval’s Hill and Seating areas and on the concourse only. 

-             Customers are not permitted to throw any objects around or within the Leichhardt Oval seating areas. 

-             Patrons wearing or otherwise displaying inappropriate or unauthorised commercial, political, religious or other offensive images, logos etc. may be denied entry into the oval or asked to remove such items prior to entering or whilst in the venue. 

-             Individuals found to be engaging in unauthorised promotional or commercial activities in and adjacent to the oval will be requested to immediately cease such activity. 

-             All patrons consent to monitoring by closed circuit television 

-             By entering Leichhardt Oval, you consent to having your image filmed and photographed; and that image may be used subject to the full discretion of the Hirer or Leichhardt Oval. 

-             Management and authorised representatives have the right to remove patrons, remove and confiscate any other item deemed to be a potential risk to the safety or comfort of patrons visiting Leichhardt Oval 

-             Children under the age of 12 must be supervised by an accompanying adult or guardian at all times 

-             Patrons who refuse to comply with reasonable requests or cause a disturbance will be removed from Leichhardt Oval  

Restricted/Prohibited Items 

The following restricted/prohibited items are not permitted into Leichhardt Oval 

-             Glass or metal containers including cans; 

-             Alcoholic beverages 

-             Flares, fireworks, weapons, explosives or smoke bombs; 

-             Illicit Drugs and Illegal substances; 

-             Laser pointers, Knives or other dangerous weapons; 

-             Cameras and Recording devices (for commercial purposes) including tripods; 

-             Commercial food, including delivered takeaway fast food  

-             Poles, including extendable flag poles and/or flag poles of more than 1.4 metres in length; 

-             Oversized banners and flags which are deemed to cause public nuisance. Specific conditions may apply for some events regarding the entry of flagpoles, flags, and banners; 

-             Whistles, hooters and horns, drums and any other noise making items not previously approved by the venue; 

-             Confetti or shredded paper or any other item intended as a projectile; 

-             Scooters, roller skates, skateboards and push bikes; 

-             Eskies and bags of larger dimensions than 35cm in height, 20cm in width and 30cm in length (ie too large to be stored under a seat) 

-             Dogs and other animals, excluding guide dogs or other assistance animals 

-             Other items as determined by the Venue Management which may cause injury or present a public nuisance to any user of the venue 

Responsible Consumption of Alcohol  

Leichhardt Oval practices the responsible service of Alcohol. All persons entering Leichhardt Oval are advised that:  

(a) they are entering a licensed premises;  

(b) persons identified as being intoxicated will not be permitted to enter;  

(c) persons found in possession of liquor will not be permitted to enter;  

(d) persons identified as being intoxicated will be removed from the premises;  

(e) it is an offence for minors to purchase and consume liquor;  

(f) it is an offence to purchase liquor for (or supply liquor to) minors or persons intoxicated;  

(g) persons supplying liquor to minors will be reported to the Police; and  

(h) penalties and fines may apply under the relevant State’s Liquor legislation.
