Naoko Kusunoki (Japan) and Nadia Vitlin (Australia) explore a scented dialogue to find a Lingua Franca Profumata - an aromatic common language. Using a process of interchange and exchange, Naoko and Nadia use a singular concept rooted in a cross-sensory experience to create fragrances in iteration whilst exchanging information on the notes and ingredients they use, culminating in a singular common perfume created in-person.
Olfactophone is the scented representation of how language evolves to converge over time, bringing a common understanding to both ideas and reality.
Workshops in scent-dialogue will be available to book closer to the event.
