Mini school: A school readiness program

For parents and children aged 2 to 5.

Starting school is a big step for kids and for the grown-ups too. Join experienced teachers from Marrickville Public School for five relaxed Friday sessions with practical ideas you can use at home to build independence, confidence and early learning.

Marrickville Library Pavilion, Fridays, 9.30am to 10.15am.

6 November: School readiness
13 November: Becoming a reader
20 November: Maths is everywhere!
27 November: Emotional wellbeing and social readiness
4 December: Exploring STEM through play

Come to one session, a few or all five. Book each one you'd like to attend. Spots are limited. One ticket per adult and child.

The facilitators

Megan Hutchinson and Zeinab Mokachar Bassam are Assistant Principals at Marrickville Public School, with over 10 years of teaching and leadership experience between them. They have worked closely with families on kindergarten transition and care about helping kids feel confident, independent and settled.
