Improve Your Balance to Avoid a Fall

Learn how the right exercise can improve your balance and strength, helping you feel steadier, more confident and independent.

Good balance helps you feel confident on your feet and keep doing the things you enjoy.

As we get older, changes in strength, balance and mobility can make everyday movements feel a little less steady. The good news is there are practical ways to work on all three.

Led by our exercise physiologists, this session will explore how the right type of exercise can improve your balance and strength, reduce your risk of a fall and help you stay active and independent for longer.

We'll cover:

  • Why balance changes as we age
  • The most common causes of falls
  • How strength and balance training can reduce your risk
  • Everyday habits that help prevent falls
  • Simple ways to make your home safer
  • Practical exercises you can start using straight away

The goal is to help you stay stronger, move with confidence and remain independent as you age.

Complimentary tea, coffee and pastries will be available.

Spaces are limited so please book early and register online so you don't miss your seat.
