HSC Workshop: Visual Arts Induction

An essential presentation for students in Year 11 beginning the HSC Visual Arts course in Term 4. Visual Arts teachers are also welcome.

This session unpacks the dual role students will play as both artist and critic, offering a clear understanding of what lies ahead, from developing the HSC Body of Work to preparing for the HSC written examination. Practical advice will be provided on navigating course content, case studies and time management for school-based assessments and external exams.

This induction equips students with the tools to start strong and stay on track throughout their HSC Visual Arts journey.
Visual Arts teachers are welcome to attend with a group of students or participate as part of their own professional development.

Please bring pens, highlighters, a clipboard, a notebook and a water bottle. A workbook will be provided. Please note that digital devices are not required for this workshop.

Led by Sarah Fordham is an artist educator with more than 30 years of professional experience.
