Meet the Artists
Karen Lee Andrews is a powerhouse of Australian soul and blues, armed with a voice that can hush a room or shake the walls. Born in Wollongong and now based in Sydney, she blends gospel fire, roots grit and rock energy into a sound that is unmistakably her own, shaped by proud Polynesian heritage and years on the road.
Geoff Bull and The Finer Cuts is a Sydney jazz band led by Geoff Bull, playing energetic New Orleans–style jazz with a modern edge, featuring musicians including Kate Wadey.
BLAUhAUS is the latest live offering from multi-instrumental improviser Zigi Blau (of Foshe). An entirely improvised solo set achieved by live-looping keys, seaboard and drums. The set traverses genres, evolving in response to the crowd, but it's predominantly Acid Jazz. Always funky and uplifting, sometimes emo and introspective, no refunds.
Tempe High School showcases a vibrant music program featuring its dynamic Percussion and Wind Ensembles, The Rovers band, and standout performances from the Year 12 Showcase, highlighting the talent and creativity of its young musicians.

KongQuest Playkour is a high-energy kids activity where participants race the clock, tackling fun parkour-style challenges to beat their best time.
Seek Harder Bugs & Art is a fun, hands-on activity where kids can paint, create, and learn all about fascinating bugs.

Reimagining plane spotting using live flight data, ATC audio and lo-fi sci-fi set! 🛫
Paper Planes Craft is a fun, hands-on activity where kids design, fold, and race their own paper planes.
Clowns Lost at the Airport is a playful, interactive roving performance where mischievous clowns create chaos, comedy, and spontaneous fun with the crowd.
Join us in learning techniques for hand printing on fabric using stencils and brushes. The workshop will be an opportunity to experiment with patterns and shapes to build up stylistic prints. You can take home any print you make and sew it on to a jacket or tote bag as a fabric patch or simply hang it up as wall art!
(If you wish for your prints to be wash safe, iron or hair dry them once the ink is dry to set them.)

Just across from the Green, down Railway Lane, volunteers from the NSW SES Marrickville Unit throw open their roller door and invite you in to learn about the vital work they do supporting local communities during emergencies, and how they do it. Cross at the Henry Street lights and check them out while you're in the neighbourhood. 17 Railway Road, Sydenham NSW 2044.
Just a short walk from Sydenham Green, down Railway Lane, Stonevilla Studios will be open during the festival, welcoming visitors to peek behind the scenes into their fabulous artist's working studios.

Market Stalls
The Australian Martial Arts Academy will be hosting an engaging stall at Celebrate 2044, showcasing martial arts skills, interactive demonstrations, and opportunities for the community to get involved.
A diverse range of hand-carved linoprints, along with holographic, die-cut and vinyl stickers, selected waterproof options, prints, and more.
Screen-printed garments, handmade accessories, and art created from new and reused materials, featuring heaps of brand-new designs.
Gryffynwood Disability Services will be selling beautiful handmade cards, soaps and even alpaca wool products, all created by their talented community.
Sharing stories of local people and places, offering engaging insights into the history of our ‘2044’ area, St Peters, Sydenham and Tempe.
Look out for Studio ARTES at the market stalls, showcasing handmade weavings, scarves, artworks and other unique creations made by our talented members.
Sydney Metro will host an interactive stall offering insights into our city's evolving rail network, with train-themed model souvenirs to take home!
Authentic Turkish Gozleme will be cooking up fresh, handmade gozleme filled with delicious savoury ingredients, served hot off the grill.
This vibrant and delicious food venture bakes up a range of authentic, handmade empanadas with a fusion of traditional flavours.
The Citrus Factory will be serving refreshing, freshly squeezed lemonade and citrus drinks, perfect for a zesty pick-me-up.
Sydney-based specialty coffee cart pop-up serving coffee, matcha and hojicha drinks, alongside handmade cookies and brownies!
Serving fresh, flavour-packed dumplings with pork, prawn, chicken and vegetarian options, available steamed or pan-fried. A go-to for authentic Chinese street food, including chilli oil dumplings, wontons and hearty sides.
Dogs in Town is a local pet-focused business passionate about all things dogs, offering a range of products, treats and goodies for your furry friends. Stop by their market stall to browse their pup-friendly range and say hello to the team!

A quiet, low-sensory space is available if you need a break from noise or crowds.
Auslan interpreters will be available during the event to support people who use sign language.
Hosted by Rocking the Senses, this low-sensory space is a calm and welcoming area for children and families to relax, recharge and enjoy gentle sensory experiences in a supportive environment.
Stage Left will be providing Auslan interpretation on the Main Stage from 2:40pm, helping make performances and presentations more accessible for the community.
For Residents:
- Be aware of event vehicle movements on the Green between 6am–10am and 4pm–6pm.
- Please ensure dogs are kept on a lead at all times.
- Limited street parking will be available from Friday 12/06, 9am to Saturday 13/06, 6pm.
