What's on Environment and Sustainability

Friday 13 May

Cycle to EDGE GreenWay 2022

Three women on bikes in a natural setting.

EDGE Art Camp on the GreenWay is on now until Sunday 22 May, and the best way to get there is on your bike!

The Green Living Centre is offering free guided bike rides led by bike education experts Pedal Set Go. Join rides from Newtown and Marrickville and follow safe and scenic routes to and from the site. There's lots of bike related activities including bike tune-ups and bike skills workshops so you’ll be confident and prepared for cycling in the Inner West.

What's so green about the GreenWay? Bushcare volunteers have been restoring natural areas along Hawthorne canal on the GreenWay since 2010. Join a bushcare and biodiversity talk to hear about ecological restoration, bushcare volunteering and local native plants and animals in the Inner West.

Art and science collective Superorganism is celebrating bees through dance performances, ephemeral sculpting with sound and light, flag making and processions, candle and scent making, and wish giving. For added fun join in some cycle skills practice whilst learning the bee inspired waggle dance!

Full program details at EDGE GreenWay 2022.
