If you haven't yet visited the GreenWay from Cafe Bones through to Peace Park - now is your chance. Over 45 artists working in sculpture, photography, contemporary dance, performance art, storytelling, immersive art and more are temporarily set up in shipping containers or local venues developing work to be showcased later in the year. Bring the kids to make a puppet or interact with a clown, join a hip hop dance class and see a pop-up presentation of some of the work created so far. This edition we talk to Samantha Gordon, Co-owner and Managing Director of PropCo located inside the Canal Road Film Centre (CRFC). To see a little bit more about what they do see here. PropCo is part of the Canal Road Film Centre exhibition of films, props, costumes presented during EDGE GreenWay. CRFC is home to 71 creative businesses and have contributed to block-buster movies such as Mad Max, The Great Gatsby and Pirates of the Caribbean. The 600 creatives working here make up a whopping 10% of the inner west creative industry! A mothers day special on 9 May includes 'Cicoria and the wild weeds that the nonna made you eat', a free discovery tour with Diego Bonetto. The collaboration with Fishy Tales is recognition of the role of the Italian mammas in Sydney's community, highlighting the ongoing practice of harvesting bitter greens in the park. There is lots to see, do and interact with so come and enjoy some art in nature. Explore some of the great artists work below or the full program here. There are two guided tours on Saturday and Sunday - where the festival curator will walk you though the site and explain whose who!
