Rita Orsini is an artist, object designer and French lecturer, with a passion for contemporary design, applied arts and languages. She is well-known for her Osso Buco resin work, OMA silver-lace jewellery using silver wire recycled from double bass gut strings, and her multiple award-winning hand-painted artist lamps - the Orsini Light - which are in private collections in Australia and Europe. Coinciding with Youth Week, Monster Mouse Studios, a 2022 Arts Grant recipient, is offering Ulterior Noises workshops giving young people the opportunity to make sound-based objects out of found materials (see Ulterior Noises tile below). The workshop outcomes will be showcased and celebrated at Noise Objects in Monster Mouse Studios during Youth Week on 21 April. The Women in Business Marketing Makeover Program will be delivered on Wednesdays in May. It targets women in business who want to review, reinvigorate, and reprioritise their marketing with content and strategy for FREE. Apply here. Also opening this month (24 April) is Council's annual grants program with Arts Project Grants (up to $10,000) for the production and presentation of new work, creative partnerships or significant multi-artform projects that benefit the Inner West community.
