Vuli Mkwananzi, a member of the much-loved band True Vibenation, is a producer, Saxophonist, DJ and multidisciplinary artist. His sound mixes Afro-rhythms, bass heavy beats and electronic production with a soulful twist together to create a distinctly global sound inspired by his cultural heritage as a Zimbabwean Australian. Vuli was raised in socially aware household and this influence has informed his artistic practice, and perspective on life. Find out more here. Cultural Connections Expression of Interest (EOI) closes 16 October Cultural Connections is a program providing opportunities to artists and community leaders from Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background, people of colour and people who identify as culturally diverse. People can apply for $8,000 to run a project between November 2023 – June 2024. Projects can vary but must have a creative outcome and target one or more of the EOI objectives.
