This edition we highlight the kinetic sound sculpture and installation work of artist Mimi Kind. Mimi has just shown Push/Pull at Chrissie Cotter Gallery (CCG). Her process is to make and repurpose machines with the intention of removing them from responsibilities, creating pieces in which the machine is doing no work ‘for us’, but is just being a machine, as and for ‘itself’. To hear more about this interesting and exciting work visit our local creatives page EDGE Sydenham Expressions of Interest are currently open, offering creatives the opportunity to apply for funding to develop innovative artworks and projects as part of EDGE Sydenham 2021.
