Simon Greiner is a local cardboard sculptor, illustrator and artist who's work has appeared on the front of the New Yorker magazine, in children's books and recently at the Opera House and in the Guardian. Last year he and his fellow creator took out the first place prize for the Officeworks Create-a-thon.
Simon will be exhibiting Cardboard Menagerie a series of masks and sculptures of imaginary creatures at Chrissie Cotter Gallery from 16 March (opening night 15 March). The exhibition showcases the accessibility of cardboard, and in turn, the accessibility of art making and creative play. There will be a drop in craft station where people can build their own masks, creatures, or whatever takes their fancy. Hear more about Simon here.
