Updates to Development Control Plans

We're harmonising our approach to planning and development across the Inner West with the draft Inner West Local Environmental Plan (LEP) 2020. As part of this project the existing Ashfield, Leichhardt and Marrickville DCPs are required to be updated to ensure they are consistent with the new LEP. Notification requirements have been removed from each DCP as these are replaced by Council's new Community Engagement Framework. It is also proposed that control C25(c) of the Leichhardt DCP 2013 relating to car share provision be deleted.

The exhibition period for the draft Inner West LEP 2020 and updates to the DCPs has now closed. Council is currently reviewing public submissions and will make recommendations for any amendments to the draft Inner West LEP 2020 and updated DCPs for consideration at a meeting of Council.

View the updated DCPs in the document folder on the Inner West's new consolidated planning framework webpage accessed here.
