Eligibility
To be eligible, pets must also:
- be microchipped,
- lifetime registered,
- any applicable permits paid,
- have their microchip details up to date.

'Collar Me Home' and 'Tag Me, I'm Yours' are programs developed by Inner West Council to help lost pets find their way home.
An identification collar/tag with owner contact details is a mandatory requirement in NSW for all dogs when in a public place. It is highly recommended for all cats.
Did you know that Companion Animal Services personally prepares all I.D. collars and tags for our residents?
Please note that our ID collars are primarily made for pet identification purposes, and the clasp may not be suitable for dogs who pull on their leash. We recommend affixing leashes to a dog harness for owner control and dog comfort.
