Djarrawunang Inclusive Playground opening

Inner West Council has delivered its third inclusive playground at Yeo Park in Ashfield.

First we upgraded the memorial site at Yeo Park, and now we have delivered a new and inclusive playground for locals to enjoy.

This new playground was designed with the help of disability play experts at Touched by Olivia Foundation to ensure that kids of all ages and abilities can experience the joy and benefits of play together. It also comes after the outstanding success of Baludarri Inclusive Playground which opened at King George Park, Rozelle in October 2024 and Gulgadya Inclusive Playground at Richard Murden Reserve in Haberfield in August 2025.

The Yeo Park inclusive playground includes:

• Action-packed play equipment including slides, a double flying fox, and in-ground trampoline
• A water play area
• New swings with inclusive seat options
• A sensory walkway and quiet areas with timber steppers and balancing beams
• Central seating area with shade and garden areas

Free BBQ, drinks, giant bubble blowing and face painting provided.
