This event will showcase artists and craftspeople form the Inner West through a curated pop up gallery, where artworks will be available for sale. Presented in partnership with Inner West Artist Market, featuring emerging makers and acoustic performances from Creative Town Hall participants. Balmain Town Hall history tours will also be available.

Workshops
The Mami Guata Beading Workshop
From 11am to 12:45pm
A creative, hands-on session inviting participants to slow down and explore the art of beadwork through culture and storytelling.
Inspired by Embera beading, an ancestral practice from the Embera tribe in Colombia dating back over 300 years, the workshop reflects a tradition that began with natural materials like seeds and fibres and evolved with the introduction of glass beads during European colonial contact. The Embera people transformed these materials into intricate, colourful designs that express their deep connection to nature and life.
Led by Mami Guata, participants will learn basic beading techniques in a welcoming, inclusive space that encourages creativity and mindfulness. All materials are provided, and each participant will take home their own handmade piece.

Meet the Performers
Andie Lee was born in Los Angeles, California, and raised in between LA, the Midwest and Taiwan. Growing up playing piano, guitar and trumpet, she was inspired the likes of Vashti Bunyan, Elliot Smith and Grizzly Bear, and recorded on her 4-track in the most echoey spaces she could find. After studying music in Berkeley, she relocated to the south of Spain, where she collaborated with Andalucia-based Calde Ramírez of Music Komite to produce her EP, “Status Quo” in 2014. Later moving back to California, she wrote “Dragon Song” with Kat Meler and Jessica Lachenal, which was featured in the film “In Bright Axiom” in 2015. She then released a self-produced album, “Pipe Dreams”, in 2017, blending indie folk with shades of dream pop and shoe gaze, exploring themes of uprootedness, nostalgia, and lost love. Now calling Sydney home, she’s currently preparing for the release of her next album.
Now an Inner West local; Archie Todd and is a young, queer, indie/folk artist and songwrighter with quaint country-town backstory to boot.
He is currently writing, recording and preforming music with the express goal of preserving queer history and strengthening intergenerational queer connections and community.

Eloise Talarico; a budding artist, currently peeking through the local singer/songwriter scene on Gadigal land, is known for her sincere lyricism and indie-folk sound. Her music weaves a braid of sensitivity, strength and self-discovery, decorated with soulful vocal arrangements. With a new project underway, she is an artist you don’t want to miss!
Isobel Knight writes and plays songs where the venn diagram circles of Julia Jacklin and Bruce Springsteen cross over. Her versatile voice and lyricism have carried her soul-influenced alternative folk rock into hearts and charts, with her sophomore "Here Now" debuting at #5 in the independent album charts. She made 'Here Now' with Bob Mallory (the killer ears behind Paste Magazine sessions) and grammy-winner Alex de Turk, with string arrangements from The Who’s Katie Jacoby.
She's been called a Metronome Magazine (US) 'Act To Watch', a Quadio (US) Artist of The Day, a Record Union Ambassador and has opened for The Little Quirks, Jordan Ireland (frontman of ausfolk legends The Middle East), Fanny Lumsden, Grace Cummings and Lisa Mitchell. 2025 saw Isobel play Woodford Folk Festival and seven date UK co-headliner tour with Andie amongst others, and record an EP with Aussie blues wunderkind Dingo at Kasey Chambers’ Rabbit Hole Studios, which is due for release in early 2026.
Lachlan McKenzie is an award-winning musician who has gained recognition both nationally and internationally for his formidable abilities as a jazz trumpeter and composer. Born and bred in Brisbane but Sydney-based since 2021, Lachlan has had the opportunity to perform & record with various well-known artists over the years. In 2023, Lachlan toured his quartet to Osaka, Japan to perform at the 25th annual Takatsuki Jazz Street Festival, and over the last two years Lachlan has also performed at leading jazz clubs in Seoul, South Korea and Bangkok, Thailand. More recently, Lachlan released and toured his sophomore album “Departures” (2025) which received an ARIA nomination for the “Best Jazz Album”. The same year, Lachlan won first place in the prestigious National Jazz Award, held at the Wangaratta Festival of Jazz and Blues.
For this performance, Lachlan will be playing in trio mode with Aaron Blakey (piano), and Jacob Graham (double bass).
