Natures Daydream by Scarlett Stokoe

Opening Night: Thursday 29 January, 5pm - 8pm
Exhibition Dates: 29 January to 15 February

Natures Daydream invites viewers into Stokoe’s dream world of imagined creatures— organisms formed by fragments of nature and found materials. Through photographing, collecting, and assembling, Stokoe creates her own species of creatures, inviting viewers to question, what are they? Are they real? Have I seen them before?

"I have always imagined a dream world, a world of my obsessions, a place where nothing exists but nature. When I encounter nature, I feel like I enter a fairy tale, the real-world drifts away. Natures Daydream is a space that invites people into my imaginary world, while also connecting to viewers own unique experiences with nature - just as you walk through the Australian bush, you walk through the sculptures."
