This foreshore park is adjacent to Darling Street Wharf. It was opened in 2012 as part of a $15m project by Council which included repairs to the seawall, improving the available open space, landscaping works, and restoration of the 1880s Fenwick's Stone Building.

Birrung Park is a long area of open space that hugs White Bay and offers fantastic views. The park has only native vegetation, both established and newly planted, to improve native habitat and biodiversity in the area.

Campbell Street Playground is a small grassed park, with playground facilities, seating and landscaping. It has impressive water and harbour bridge views.

Colgate Avenue Reserve

Colgate Avenue, Balmain

Formerly the site of the Colgate-Palmolive Factory that opened in 1923 and manufactured soap. Before then time it was the site of an abattoir. The site was redeveloped in 1997 and is now a foreshore park with residential units.

Elkington Park

White Street and Glassop Street, Balmain

Elkington Park is situated on the Balmain foreshore, with great views and plenty of shade. It is a popular location for weddings, with a 1930s band rotunda and the romantic White Horse Point. The Dawn Fraser Baths, named after the Olympic swimming icon and Balmain local, are located in the park. The baths are home to the Balmain Water Polo Club, established in 1884, and hosted the first game of water polo in Australia.

Gladstone Park

Darling and Booth Street, Balmain

A popular park for passive and active recreation. The Gladstone Park Bowling Club (lawn bowls) is located at the centre of the park. It also has a playground, basketball court and established gardens.

Illoura Reserve

Weston Street, Balmain

Illoura Reserve hugs the peninsula from the Balmain East Ferry Terminal around to Peacock Point. This beautiful park has an abundance of native vegetation and sandstone cliffs with a viewing platform looking out over Sydney Harbour and Johnstons Bay. At Peacock Point there is a sandy beach and tidal pool set amongst the cliffs.

Paringa Reserve

Elliott Street, Balmain

A long open space that wraps around Sommerville Point with seating and fantastic views of the Harbour. Elliott Street (Balmain West) Ferry Wharf is located here.

Propeller Park

The Avenue, Balmain

A beautiful open space along the foreshore with views out to Sydney Harbour. Large old ship propellers have been placed along the path as an acknowledgement of the area's shipbuilding past. This park is also referred to as The Avenue.

Punch Park

Wortley Street, Balmain

A grassed open space area with a fenced playground. A community tennis court and a multi-purpose court with covered seating areas are available for hire.
