You're invited: Opening of renovated Balmain Town Hall and Library
Dear resident,
I’m writing to invite you to the opening of the newly renovated Balmain Town Hall and Library.
Council has nearly completed a $4 million renovation of this iconic 130-year-old civic institution.
Improvements to the town hall include:
- Restoration of the heritage façade and tower stairs
- Updated kitchenette and bathroom amenities in the town hall
- Enhanced library layout with new furniture, and expanded work and study areas
- A new colour scheme throughout the library and town hall auditorium
- New carpet throughout the library and meeting room
Even more exciting, Balmain Town Hall will reopen as an arts and cultural venue available free of charge to arts and cultural organisations.
We have now converted all 7 of our town halls to artistic venues, available free of charge, and kitted them out with audio-visual, recording and live performance equipment, so that they are easy and attractive to use.
