Zero food waste tips and tricks

Australian households spend up to $2,500 a year on food that gets wasted. That is enough to feed the average Aussie family for 2.5 months! Council has created a 'zero food waste hero guide' for the 12 most binned foods to help residents reduce food waste and save money.

  • creative tips on how to plan, store and cook food
  • recipes to use up commonly wasted foods such as the cafe style Breakfast French Toast (pictured).
