This year, Planet Ark’s National Recycling Week is celebrated from Monday 13 to Sunday 19 November. The 2023 theme is What Goes Around Comes Around and is all about highlighting that a product’s end of life is as important as its original purpose. National Recycling week is a chance to think about how you use resources, and how to reduce waste. Planet Ark and Council have a range of resources to help keep materials in use and minimise waste going to landfill.

At home:

- Council has tips on the new FOGO service, composting and worm farming at home, and Green Living Centre workshops

- Check out Planet Ark’s helpful resources, including a recycling guide, event guide and puzzles and craft activities for kids

At school:

- Council offers advice on recycling at school and a series of learning resources for teachers and students

- Planet Ark is running the Schools Recycle Right Challenge, a ‘Could we recycle a school?’ webinar and hosting a range of school resources to celebrate National Recycling Week

At work:

- Planet Ark have resources to help workplaces educate employees on waste management and set up recycling stations in the office
